2024 Trillium Merit Award
Ron & Charlene Gardner
Ron started caller training 12 years ago, and took over a North Bay club from 2015-2022 after the local caller had to step down. A short time later the Swinging Swallows needed a caller, so Ron took over there as well.
Ron & Charlene have been active members in various EOSARDA Exective Position over the years. Ron is also presently a Director on the Ontario Square & Round Dance Federation.
This couple works hard to promote the square dance movement by doing demos, participating in events, and encouraging new dancers. They are a most deserving couple.
2024 Trillium Long Service Award
Tom & Ardele Mesman
This couple has been Square and Round dancing for 23 years, all while spreading the good word of dance. They have been members of Grenville Gremlins, Capital Carousels, and Take-a-Step. As they belonged to each clubs, they took on duties of various executive positions. Their enthusiasm for dance and their positive attitudes have made them great ambassadors not only for their local club, but for the entire dance movement. A very deserving couple.
Bernie & Mary Power
This couple has been Square Dancing for the last 23 years. They have been dedicated members of the Grenville Gremlins, filling various Executive positions for over 10 years. They work hard on recruitment and were always looking for ways to attract new dancers. They are always there to assist as required, and are deserving of this award.
